Manual Handling Awareness
What is Manual Handling Awareness?
Manual handling awareness helps delegates to understand that transporting or supporting a load by hand or bodily force can result in injury. It includes lifting, putting down, pushing, pulling, carrying, or moving loads. A load can be an object, person, or animal.
The Hazards
Handling any load can result in a musculoskeletal injury. This can be as simple as a mild or dull pain, to life-altering conditions. Carrying or moving anything at work can result in injury or help to exaggerate existing conditions.
Controlling the Risk
Communicating a course such as this will help delegates to make informed lifting choices. We know many people with the goal to get the job done, often at their own expense. We help them to make better choices and understand the risks.
