How long does accreditation take?

What happens if our application is rejected?
The assessor gives reasons, and they are usually specific and fixable. Do we need more than one accreditation?

What documentation will we need?
Typically a health and safety policy, risk assessments and method statements for the work you actually do, training records, insurance certificates, accident records, and evidence of how you check subcontractor competence. Applications more often fail on missing evidence than on missing policies, which is why we look at what you can prove rather than only at what you have written.
Do you help with renewals?
Yes, and it is worth planning for. Most schemes renew annually and the reassessment is lighter than the first application, provided nothing significant has changed. The common failure is leaving it until the certificate has lapsed and dropping off an approved list, which can cost you work. We prompt retained clients ahead of the date.
